The Geological Survey collaborates with several national and international research groups, agencies and organisations. Our various programmes also carry out research. We provide research funding for geoscientists through a number of mechanisms. This is all supported by our Research roadmap.

The Research Roadmap is an outline strategy and implementation plan to deliver the Research programme. flooding areas in Dublin projected by 2100The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) published a Special Report on 25 September 2019 showing that we are heading for a worst case scenario of global mean sea level when compared with previous IPCC report. Recent work by Dr Silvia Caloca at Geological Survey Ireland shows how these expected changes could affect the Dublin coastline. 25/09/2019 23:00:00 Consultation Workshop CGMW-GSI-BGR Dublin 2019GSI was delighted to co-host a workshop with Kristine Ashe (BGR) of the CGMW IQUAME project.
