BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition 2021

The annual BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition has moved online for 2021 but Geological Survey Ireland will still be there.

We are in the Exhibition Hall in the BTYSTE Portal

Join us to learn about our work and learn how to use our online mapping resources.

BTYSTE in previous years

The BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition (BTYSE) is one of Ireland's premiere science education events, welcoming thousands of pupils to the Royal Dublin Society each year to spark their interest in all things scientific.

Geological Survey Ireland participate each year and organise an interactive stand for children and parents. The stand is a joint effort among the Geoscience community with displays from the Geological Survey Ireland programmes, the Irish Geological Association (IGA), Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies (DIAS), the National Museum of Ireland (NMI) and the Petroleum Affairs Division (PAD).

We also sponsor the Geological Survey Ireland BTYSE Award - which is given to the project that makes the best use of geological data and techniques.
