The latest phase of the Tellus programme collected new airborne data over County Galway and parts of the neighboring counties of Mayo, Tipperary and Offaly in the Republic of Ireland (ROI) and is collectively referred to as block A2. Surveying was carried out between 30 May 2016 and 13 October 2016 by Sander Geophysics Ltd (SGL). Previous airborne geophysical surveys were carried out across Northern Ireland (Tellus) in 2005 and 2006 (Beamish et. al, 2006), parts of counties Cavan and Monaghan in the ROI (Kurimo, 2006), counties Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth as part of the EU INTERREG IVA-funded Tellus Border Project (Hodgson and Ture, 2012), across counties Roscommon, Longford and Westmeath as part of the Tellus North Midlands project (Hodgson and Ture 2015) and across parts of counties Meath, Dublin, Kildare, Offaly, Laois an Wicklow (Block A1) in the east of the country in 2015 (Hodgson and Ture 2016) . All surveys measured magnetic field, electrical conductivity and gamma-ray spectrometer data (primarily potassium, thorium and uranium). This report summarises the main operations from the latest A2 survey and discusses the processing of the acquired data and its merger with existing datasets to produce seamless merged geophysical datasets.
