​The annual BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition was once again online for 2022.  Koen Verbruggen, Geological Survey Ireland's Director, presented the Geological Survey Ireland award to Anna-Mae O'Driscoll for her project "Does the Limestone in the Burren Keep it as Warm as People Say?".  Anna-Mae, from Mary Immaculate Secondary School (Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare), investigated the heat holding ability of the Burren limestone.  She was also awarded third place in the Chemical, Physical and Mathematical Junior Individual Category.
