Geological Survey Ireland in collaboration with the National Museum of Ireland are proud to host a WORLD WATER DAY EVENT:

THEME: GROUNDWATER - MAKING THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE

Groundwater is invisible, but its impact is visible everywhere. Out of sight, under our feet, groundwater is a hidden treasure that enriches our lives. Almost all of the liquid freshwater in the world is groundwater. As climate change gets worse, groundwater will become more and more critical. We need to work together to sustainably manage this precious resource. Groundwater may be out of sight, but it must not be out of mind.

WHEN: March 22 is World Water Day.

WHERE: Down to Earth - Exploring Ireland's Geology exhibition, National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, open 10am to 5pm. Geologists available from 2pm to 5pm.

COST: Admission free.

WHAT: Ever wondered what groundwater is? What do we use it for and how do we use it? Come to the Down to Earth - Exploring Ireland's Geology exhibition at the National Museum of Ireland and learn all about our most precious resource through a series of interactive workshops and demonstrations. Suitable for young and old alike.
