​As a joint project with the Heritage office of Wicklow County Council, Geological Survey Ireland is delighted to have provided each primary and every secondary school in County Wicklow with a copy of this new publication 'Glaciers, Glens and Granite: an Exploration of the Geology of County Wicklow.'  Published by Wordwell Books.

This will be an asset to both schools and students and will complement the Geography Curriculum in both Junior and Senior Cycle. It may even provide a starting point for the geological investigation aspect of the LC curriculum, providing a local interest. For primary schools perhaps there is a geological heritage site near your school that would be relevant and interesting to students, stimulating learning in the classroom.
