​Geological Survey Ireland presents Researchers' Night on the theme of Volcanoes and tsunamis in Ireland.

A selection of short talks highlighting Irish research:

  • Evidence for volcanoes in the Irish geological record Prof. Nancy Riggs (Northern Arizona University)
  • Underwater landslides making waves Dr Aggeliki Georgiopoulou (University College Dublin)
  • Ireland's response to modern tsunamis and volcano hazards Dr Brian McConnell (Geological Survey Ireland)

Talks will be followed by a discussion and reception.
