The deployment of geothermal energy is gaining momentum on the island of Ireland – in particular the use of geothermal energy for heat networks, industrial and commercial applications. To showcase the work of the Geothermal Association of Ireland, and to preview the outputs from the GEMINI geothermal energy demonstration project, we would like to invite you to an informal evening event in Dublin.
When: November 5th, 6-8pm
Where: Conference Room, Engineers Ireland, Clyde Road, Dublin, D04 R3N2
The evening will include:
• A brief introduction to the Geothermal Association of Ireland and their planned events for the coming year;
• A short summary of the GEMINI project. GEMINI, Geothermal Energy Momentum on the island of Ireland, is a €20m Interreg PEACEPLUS funded project that will develop a series of free toolkits and products for use by companies, decision makers, and experts working in the geothermal sector, and
• A fire-side conversation and Q&A with Mr Sanjeev Kumar, Director of Policy for the European Geothermal Energy Council. Sanjeev will discuss the contribution geothermal energy has made to decarbonising heating and cooling across Europe, and how we can now benefit from this knowledge and expertise locally.
Teas, coffees and finger food will be available from 6pm, presentations will start at 6.30pm. Refreshments will be served at 8pm in the bar on-site.
