An Introduction and Guide to the Glacial Geology of the Wicklow District.
by William P. Warren.
1993. Price €6.50.
The booklet, 46 pages long, contains 28 figures of which 13 are in colour. It describes in layperson's terms some of the glacial events and features which have moulded the landscapes of Co. Wicklow, for example the glacial meltwater channel of the Glen of the Downs, the glacially deepened valleys around Glenadalough, corries such as at Upper and Lower Lough Bray, and the sand deltas built into glacial Lake Blessington. There is a bibliography and list of cited references, as well as a section on selected localities where various glacial features may be seen in the field.
