The Copper Coast
The "Copper Coast" is the brand name given to the 17Km stretch of County Waterford coastline which extends from Fenor and Kilfarrasy in the east to Stradbally in the west. It is a coastline if scalloped beaches and coves, buttressed and enclosed by rocky headlands. Ghostly remains of ancient copper mine buildings stand like lonely sentinels on the cliffs, enlivened here and there by almost iridescent bright green and blue copper varnished rocks.
