Landscapes from Stone
This "Landscapes from Stone" tourist map introduces the visitor to the scenic attractions of Ireland (North). Covering 14 areas one side of the map highlights areas with established walking trails, forest parks and blue flag beaches as well as sites of archaeological and cultural interest. The reverse side of the map takes the visitor on a geological excursion around the region and highlights sites where the geological heritage of the region can be examined. These sites cover a time span of over 1000 million years and together they help tell the story of the formation of our Landscapes from Stone.
