Mining through the Millennia

An Exhibition of people and mines, organised by the Mining Heritage Trust of Ireland and the Geological Survey of Ireland. The development of human society is dependent on the exploitation of mineral resources. Visit the exhibition and take a trip back from Stone Age and Bronze Age times, to the present day, focusing on the 19th and 20th centuries when mining in Ireland was commonplace.

This exhibition ran at the GSI during 2002 and 2005.
It is now available for loan and temporary display elsewhere.
It consists of 38 panels (1m x 70 cm) and a range of associated objects.
