Sheet 77, Wexford, is the first map in this series to be published. In a new departure for GSI Bedrock Geology maps this series shows all the point data sources, (outcrops, boreholes, palaeontological localities etc.) that have been used to compile the map.

| The map is available in a digital GIS format on CD for €200. This CD contains a map report and all the digital data in ESRI geodatabase and shapefile formats. Datasets include bedrock polygons and linework, outcrop locations and descriptions, mapping symbols indicating dip and strike of the strata, locations and logs of boreholes, palaeontological records as well as more descriptive fields for the stratigraphy data. There are ArcMap, ArcReader and ArcExplorer versions of the map on the CD which link directly to the database or shapefiles. Also included is installable software to view the ArcReader and ArcExplorer maps, so that the customer can either view or query the map as it has been published, or create their own maps from the datasets. Please note that the OSi basemap is not included in the digital dataset. |
