Global geological mapping portal launched
The OneGeology web portal was launched today 6th August at the International Geological Congress in Oslo, Norway. This web portal allows people to freely view geological maps from 79 different nations together at a scale of around 1:1 million. The Geological Survey of Ireland and the Petroleum Affairs Division of DCENR have contributed mapping to this international project. Visit the website www.onegeology.org  or visit the mapping portal portal.onegeology.org .
