Geothermal Energy Working Group
GSI is involved in a newly-established Geothermal Energy Working Group which is now seeking public consultation. Its task is to review the status of geothermal energy in Ireland and to consider options to advance the geothermal regulatory position in Ireland. The Minister for Communications, Energy & Natural Resources, Mr. Eamon Ryan, T.D., is now inviting interested parties to submit their views on the technical, legal and regulatory issues relevant to options to be considered for the development of a proportionate and realistic regulatory regime for geothermal energy utilisation in Ireland.  For more information please click here.
