GSI seeks qualified archivist
The Geological Survey of Ireland is seeking a qualified archivist to work in its Archive on a short-term contract (beginning September to end December 2009) for a fixed cost of €23,000 (inclusive of VAT @ 21%). The main task is to re-organise the structure and cataloguing of the Archives Room and to set up a searchable database (such as Access). This is the first of several steps in a series of phased recommendations set out in a scoping study conducted by Eneclann Ltd in 2008. The present Archivist will be available to assist and help familiarise the new Archivist with the existing archive layout and content, in the period up to December 31st 2009.
