GSI launches new look website
Welcome to our new website! No longer a decaying fossil, rather now a rising phoenix eagerly soaring towards a new dawn!!  Ok, ok, we're getting carried away here - apologies!  But perhaps you can understand our excitement - it has taken us longer than we had hoped to finally prepare and launch this new-look site but we hope you'll find it worth the wait!

Fossil at StreedaghFor quite some time now we've been beavering away in the background trying to update the old site, and it is true to say that we did not, even ourselves, understand the magnitude of the task we were undertaking.

The breath of GSI's work is quite simply enormous and the numbers of pages that we had to prepare or update in order to reflect this work range was, at times, overwhelming.

During this period of unseen activity we must admit to a period of somewhat haphazard updates - only items we considered really important were added to the site or updated. And some pages became outdated. And so, our site became a little like the image here left, (a fossil from Streedagh Beach, Sligo), chosen to reflect what our old site had recently become - a relic of times past......!

We believe it's a cleaner, easier to read and easier to use site.  We also believe it's easier to find material you may be looking for.  Of course, if we're wrong, please do let us know as it will now be easier to make changes that encompass what our customers want.

Please provide your feedback to us be it positive or negative as we will be carefully monitoring it.  Please contact gsiwebmaster@gsi.ie.

Thank you for your patience in recent times....and please visit again......and often......

Because we understand that in searching this site you may not exactly know what programme area to visit we have added in some other options in our navigation menu such as "Projects", "Education," or a general county-based search is possible under "Your Area."
Ultimately however, on such a large site it may still remain difficult to identify fully a solution to your search or query in these pages.  if this should happen to you then please contact our Customer Centre where a member of staff will help you with your query.
