Call for Fulbright Ireland-GSI awards now open
Geological Survey Ireland is pleased to announce the call for Fulbright Ireland-GSI awards is now open. The awards are for Irish based geoscience researchers to travel to the USA for a minimum of 3 months to undertake research in a US host institute in 2018/2019. The deadline for submission is October 31st. Funding covers travel and subsistence during your stay, plus you will be supported by Fulbright Ireland regarding administrative procedures, visas insurance etc. Successful 2016/2017 Fulbright-GSI recipients have travelled to Harvard (PhD student Ms Saskia Ryan) and University of Washington (UCD lecturer, Dr Helen Lewis). The 2017/2018 successful applicant will travel to the US Geological Survey, Woods Hole in 2018 (UCD Lecturer, Dr Aggeliki Georgiopoulou). More information.
