The Griffith Geoscience Research Awards were granted in 2007. This important scheme provides up to €10m over a 7 year period to address geoscientific issues while at the same time building geoscientific research capacity.
The eight awards cover a range of topics and facilitate high quality research on key geoscience areas such as groundwater resources, carbon sequestration, numerical modelling and marine geology. In addition it has provided outreach products to create awareness of geoscience and its importance to society.
The second Griffiths Geoscience seminar presents progress on the research being carried out. If you or your colleagues are interested in attending you are most welcome.
Attendance at the seminar is free but booking is essential. Please register by 25th September by simply e-mailing michael.o'mahony@gsi.ie (or telephone +353 1 6782817). Tea/coffee and a simple lunch will be provided free of charge.
