Geoscience 2016 Conference
Geoscience 2016, the Geological Survey’s annual stakeholder event took place at Dublin Castle on Wednesday November 2nd, at which the themes were Climate and Earth Induced Hazards, and Geoscience Strategic Developments. The event was opened by Minister Sean Kyne, who officially launch the Survey’s new Communications Plan and branding, a project which has been led by Niamh Buckley. The Minister also launched the Geological Survey’s new Geoscience Research Roadmap, a project led by Research Manager Aoife Braiden, and which is now open for consultation (see research roadmap page). The event also included a major presence, from the Irish Centre for Research in Applied Geosciences (iCRAG), the SFI and industry backed initiative, in which staff from across the Natural Resources Division of DCCAE are playing a major steering and collaborative role.
