This form has been made in order to help sum up our knowledge of slope stability in a website that will also be GIS enabled and that will provide information on the origin of slope movements, and the methods of their investigation, prevention and control. Temporary Exposures08/11/2006 11:34:00
Temporary Exposures are cropping up all around the country, as new infrastructures (ring roads, bypasses, tunnels, etc.) and small or major building developments (housing estates, shopping precincts, etc.) are cut into Quaternary (soil, glacial) deposits and the bedrock.
It is important for us to know the type of rock newly exposed, as we can use this information to update our geological maps.
