"Geology course: Introduction to geology, the study of Earth"
26th May - 1st June 2008
Organised by the Copper Coast Geopark to celebrate European Geoparks Week and the International Year of Planet Earth 2008, the course will provide a general introduction to geology and the background to understand the geology of South East Ireland.
The course is open to anybody with no specific background in geology but a genuine interest/curiosity in the topic. (No age limit either, previous courses attracted students from 16 to 76 years old). So if you've always wanted to find out about rocks, plate tectonics, volcanoes, fossils...it might be the course for you.
