Tranquil Lough Nafooey …….. site of volcanic eruptions?
This short evening outing will take a walk back 490 million years to explore the ancient Lough Nafooey volcano. We will get "up close" with lava flows and volcanic avalanches, and consider why volcanoes were erupting in Mayo-Galway back then, and why they aren't now!
The walk will be short, but does involve crossing the Finny River using stepping stones.
