GSI offers a wide variety of products and services to students from Primary School level to those attanding at Third Level. There are numerous publications available from the GSI Shop that may be of interest to students of all ages and a full list of these can be viewed here. GSI has also published a specific second level schools book and map which can be viewed here. There is a Student Discount of 33⅓ % off all paper Maps and publications.  GSI's online brochure confirms this and offers additional details about our products and services. . Digital data is free of charge.

The GSI also hold a complete set of 1" and 6" field sheets dated from the 19th Century. These are avalable to view digitally free of charge in the GSI Customer Centre. These can also be purchased as prints or as digital images and the Student Discount also applies. USE OF GSI DATA FOR RESEARCH PROJECTS

The Geological Survey of Ireland also supply students and academic institutions who are involved in Masters/PhD studies with digital data subject to conditions. The data is supplied free of charge to students on receipt of an abstract signed by the project supervisor, details of the study area, request of specific data required and a signed copy of the GSI's Digital Licence Agreement. We also ask that on completion of the project that a PowerPoint presentation is submitted explaining details of the project and how the supplied data was implemented into the study.
