You will need:
- 2 large jars - 1 saucer - a piece of wool |
- 2 paper clips - hot water - Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) |

Method: 1- Add Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) 2 large jars almost full of warm water until no more will dissolve.
2 - Place a piece of wool, between the jars, with the ends in the solutions (weight the ends with a small nut or a paper clip).
3 - Place a saucer between the jars and leave for a few days.
The solution will seep up and along the wool and drip on to the saucer. Each drip leaves behind a little baking soda and so forms a stalactite. As the water evaporates from the drips collecting on the saucer, a stalagmite forms.
