Landscapes for living!

Vejrhøj is one of the highest hills on Sealand, reaching a height of 121 m above sea level. The hills form an arch of Quaternary deposits that were pushed up by a glacier tongue moving westwards.

Coastal meadows are widespread along non-exposed coasts in Denmark. The boulders were transported to Denmark from the Precambrian basement in Scandinavia by glaciers during the last ice age

Cretaceous chalk is exposed in the coastal cliff sections at Møns Klint.
The chalk was pushed up by Ice Streams that drained part of the Fenno-Scandian Ice Sheet. Along the cliff, 20-30 trust sheets are separated by Quaternary deposits.
